ps:
kuya ed thanks for admiring.

Salamat brad Derf Pag nakauwi tignan ko pwede bitiwang LP mula dun sa iilang piraso..hehehe
By the way, I'm not sure kung inalis mo lang, pero napansin ko na medyo walang plastic sleeves yung ibang very valuable LP's mo.

Just got this from a friend : DREAMS ARE MY REALITY CD na 2005 released by edel (germany) na kung saan may re-recording ng Reality and then the other tracks ay exactly the same ng Song For Lovers CD by Richard Sanderson.
I paid 10.04 euro for this and mas mahal pa ang shipping 14.00 euro :

the world of music mourns as one of our pop culture icon passed away, he is the most influential, the most electrifying & perhaps the best performer of our generation. some say he is the elvis presley of our generation. jacko and madona are perhaps the only 2 bright spot which carried the u.s music during the 80's new wave british invasion.
as a music enthusiast we have to give respect & remember his huge contribution to the of world of music.
RIP MICHAEL"THE KING OF POP" JACKSON (1958-2009)
i am proud to own some of his best works. don't you miss jacko during his early years?

Re: SILIPIN NATIN...
I join the whole world and the rest of my generation in mourning the loss of my idol, my icon - he taught me how to moonwalk in my teens, i grew up with his music
yesterday i finally felt what the other generations felt when they lost their idols - for years i never felt the real meaning behind Don Mclean's sentiments in his lyrics "the day the music died" - because buddy holly, john lennon, elvis presley was never my generation, Michael was. Yesterday i finally felt it's true meaning
this morning i played his early vinyls and can't help but feel sad and be teary-eyed when Michael sang "You'll remember me somehow....though you don't need me now....I will stay in your heart...."
so long Michael, my friend, my brother
his only album with his signature

PURE 70's "36 Mellow Hits of the 70's" (EMI Phills.) double CD compilation
Kuya Ed, thanks a for posting this sa blogspot mo emv710.blogspot.com kaya't nadagdagan muli ang munti kong collectibles. I admit, i'm much more into hardrock, metal and thrash metal music at 80's baby ako pero for me 70's pa rin ang the best para sakin. Nostalgic that is..........
Unang linggo ng buwan ng Hunyo of this year ko sya napasakamay.
Same to Kuya Wilbert and dErf! This CD makes me feel so mellow while it gets me so high wika nga ni David Castle!

P.S.
Gusto ko sana i-post yun back ng front cover kaso wag na lang he he he . I highly recommend this compilation.
Dang - this word is used by Caviteños w/c means ubod ng or saksakan ng
for ex: ubod ng ganda / saksakan ng ganda (sakali po kung mapasyal kayo ulit or marinig nyo d2 sa Cavite)

BACK TO THE 80's WAVE MUSIC
Picking up from our friend who requested for some new wave gems, I'd like to post some great releases that might interest some of you who remember and for some that might want to acquire. These are music that have shaped a generation and still carry the music within. I hope you enjoy these post as much as I do sharing it with you.
ARTIST: FRIENDS AGAIN
ALBUM : TRAPPED AND UNWRAPPED (Japan release)
LABEL : Mercury Records
Original LP Release : 1984
HIT SINGLE : State Of Art
A one hit wonder across the US, Friends Again is a jangly guitar group that brought out the melody above in every song they put out. Though most of the songs were superbly written, Freinds Again fell victim to the black hole of not being too "NEW ROMANTIC" or as was it called "NEW WAVE" in the UK. For what its worth though, the group surely made waves in the local shores and Asia. This remastered, Japan release features 6 bonus tracks and extended versions that never made commercial success(except for SUNKISSED which was played on UK radio). Browse through the net and you might bump on this release with a very appealing price tag to it(but be sure to hold yourself down with the shipping cost). This is a certified DELETED release making it an endangered specie to wave collectors.
WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT IF: The extended version and remixed version of STATE OF ART were included.

Re: SILIPIN NATIN...
ARTIST : VITAMIN Z
ALBUM : RITES OF PASSAGES
LABEL : GEFFEN RECORDS re-issued by RENAISSANCE RECORDS
Original LP release : 1985
Hit single : BURNING FLAME
The track still rings to my ear and its catchy guitar intro will certainly call your attention and throw you back in time. This obscure group became a one hit wonder in the US and the UK but because of internal disagreements, they were never able to jump back in the saddle of pop stardom. The group tried to release a second album called SHARP STONE RAIN which they included their hit single but unfortunately fell into silent void. Through the years some tried to re-issue the LP but were unsuccessful. Flash forward 2009, Renaissance Records managed to pull the strings and were able to re-issue the entire LP on CD with bonus cuts.
FACTOID: RITES OF PASSAGES made it to CD on a limited basis back in 85' BUT never made it across Asia. You might come across ebay and find a PROMOTIONAL CD for sale without the paper parts which is priced wildly beyond your imagination.
WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT IF : Maybe its just me but my ears tell me that the album cuts were lifted from an LP master or reel master which the re-mastering engineer did not thoroughly enhance the audio. Bonus cuts include all the remixes of their hit single. All in all I'd rate this release 10/10 because these sort of re-issues will never happen again.

Re: SILIPIN NATIN...
ARTIST : GENERAL PUBLIC
ALBUM : ALL THE RAGE
LABEL : I.R.S. RECORDS
Original LP release : 1984
Hit Single : TENDERNESS followed by NEVER YOU DONE THAT
Pop Wave never sounded better when General Public starts playing on radio. With its catchy hand claps and backing vocals, you can easily hear their pop sense jived with the jumpy beat of Brit music. General Public was the other half of of ENGLISH BEAT (the other half being FINE YOUNG CANNIBALS) that decided to part ways due to musical differences. The group released a couple of LPs in the US and UK that made ripples(HAND TO MOUTH) of which local wave aficionados rather prefer but for some who really are just for the beat and good music, ALL THE RAGE is the album for you.
FACTOID : This is a deleted 1984 CD released by IRS Records in the US. You can still find this CD re-issued back in 1990 by A&M
WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT IF : The re-issued versions included the extended versions of the singles as well as the live versions from previous LP recordings.
